Milford, In - High power launches - October - April

The Field

We hold monthly launches from October through April at the Milford Field,  9301 N 100 E, Milford, IN 46542.   The latitude and longitude of the launch site are  41.3677, -85.8306.

This is a large field on a farm that our landowner has graciously given us permission to use during these months.  The field is normally driveable so vehicles can be driven up close to the launch pads.  If not, prepare for a walk from the road to the pads.  December, January, and February are the coldest months, so dress warm. A portable toilet will be available.

Launch Go/No Go information is distributed via email and the Summit City Aerospace Modeler's Facebook page prior to launch date.  If you are new to our club, go to the Contact page, fill out your information and we will get you on the mailing list.

Milford Field Rules

Flight Card

At our Milford launches, we require a Flight Card to be completed before each flight.  The information is used to maintain safe launch practices conforming to NAR and Tripoli standards. Flight cards are essential for proper flow of flyers to launch pads and correct announcement of flyer name and rocket.  Post launch, we analyze the results and publish a summary of the day's events under the News Tab.  Below is the Flight Card (actually two of them).  You can download the PDF and print it.  It will fit on standard 81/2 x 11" paper.  Print it out, cut along the dotted lines, and that's it.  If you know what you will be flying, fill out the Flight Card before arriving.  It will save you time.  Prepare your rocket and bring the completed card to the RSO, and you're ready to fly!
